Shipping policy
At Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions, we are dedicated to delivering your products promptly and securely. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and handled, and includes important terms designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and legal compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Because we source products from multiple suppliers across South Africa, your order may be delivered in multiple parcels and by different courier partners, depending on stock availability and supplier location.
1. Shipping Destinations
We currently offer shipping for our products throughout South Africa, except where specifically excluded. For international shipping inquiries, please contact us directly for more information and availability.
2. Order Processing Times
In-Stock Items
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days after payment has been received and cleared.
Back-Order Item
Some items on our website are available on back-order, meaning they are temporarily out of stock but can still be ordered. These items are clearly marked on the product page. By placing an order for a back-order item, you acknowledge that:
- The item is not immediately available for dispatch
- Estimated lead times are displayed on the product page under the Shipping tab
- Lead times are estimates only and may change due to supplier or logistics factors
- We will notify you by email if there is a significant change to the expected lead time
- You may cancel a back-order item at any time before dispatch for a full refund by contacting us at info@zisabo.co.za
Peak Seasons & Custom Orders
During high-volume periods (e.g., Black Friday, December holidays) or for specialised products, processing times may be slightly longer.
Order Updates
We will notify you by email at key points in the fulfilment process so you always know when to expect your items.
3. Standard Shipping Methods & Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery timeframes below are estimates, not guarantees:
Major Towns & Cities: 3–7 business days
Outlying Areas: Delivery may take longer depending on distance, road access, or courier scheduling.
Delivery times may differ between parcels in the same order due to supplier dispatch locations.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated based on: delivery address, product weight, product dimensions, and courier availability. Shipping charges will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Free Shipping
Standard Shipping Orders (regular-sized items) over R750 qualify for free delivery.
Large / Heavy Items
Items marked as heavy, oversized, or special handling will incur an additional fee calculated per order, or may require in-store collection depending on carrier availability.
5. Split Shipments
Because we source from multiple warehouses and suppliers, your order may arrive in separate shipments on different days. This is normal and does not constitute partial delivery or grounds for cancellation.
6. Order Tracking
Once your parcel has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number.
Tracking can be monitored via the courier’s online portal.
For orders containing multiple parcels, you may receive multiple tracking numbers.
7. Shipping Delays (Liability Limitation)
While we strive for timely delivery, delays can occur due to factors beyond our control, such as:
- supplier dispatch schedules,
- courier network delays,
- extreme weather,
- strikes,
- load-shedding and operational disruptions,
- unforeseen transport issues.
Important:
Delivery timeframes are estimates only.
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions shall not be liable for any losses arising from late delivery, including:
- contractor call-out fees,
- installation delays,
- lost income,
- missed project deadlines or penalties.
8. Responsibility for Delivery Address & Failed Deliveries
The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery details at checkout.
If delivery fails due to:
- incorrect address,
- customer unavailable,
- failure to answer courier calls, or
- inaccessible delivery location,
the customer will be liable for:
- re-delivery fees,
- return-to-sender costs, and/or
- any additional courier charges.
9. Risk of Loss or Damage
Risk of loss or damage to the goods transfers to the customer once the customer has taken possession of the goods from either Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions, the relevant supplier warehouse, or the courier. This point of handover is recorded when the courier scans, collects, or signs for the parcel.
Goods-in-Transit Insurance
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions maintains Goods-in-Transit Insurance for parcels dispatched from our premises or directly from our approved suppliers. This insurance provides protection from the point of dispatch until physical delivery to the customer, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurer, courier, and supplier.
Transit Damage or Loss
If a parcel is lost or damaged during transit, the customer must notify us within 24 hours of delivery or expected delivery by emailing info@zisabo.co.za, as required under Clause 10. Upon receiving notification, Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions will initiate a claim under our Goods-in-Transit Insurance policy or lodge the matter with the relevant courier or supplier.
Replacements, repairs, or refunds will only be processed once the courier, supplier, or insurer has completed their investigation and confirmed liability or approved the claim.
Processing times may vary depending on the courier or insurer’s procedures. Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions shall not be liable for delays resulting from third-party investigations.
10. Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, notify us within 24 hours of delivery (or expected delivery) at: info@zisabo.co.za
Please include:
- order number,
- photos of the outer packaging,
- photos of the damaged item (if applicable),
- courier tracking number
- Investigation Process
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions will lodge a claim with the courier or supplier.
Replacement or refund will be processed only once liability has been confirmed by the courier or supplier.
Investigation timelines may vary depending on courier/supplier processes.
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions is not responsible for courier delays in completing an investigation.
11. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers must inspect products immediately upon delivery. Claims for damaged or missing items must be submitted within 24 hours with photographic evidence. Claims submitted outside this window may be rejected if the courier or supplier cannot verify the damage.
Packaging must be retained for inspection.
12. Changes to Shipping Information
If you need to amend the delivery address or contact information after placing an order, email info@zisabo.co.za immediately.
We will attempt to update the courier details, but changes are not guaranteed once the parcel has been collected.
13. Out-of-Stock or Items unavailable
If part of your order becomes unavailable after purchase, we will reach out to suggest a suitable alternative, or apply for a credit note towards your next order, or opt for a full refund which will be processed in 5 to 7 business days.
14. Limitation of Liability
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions’ maximum liability for any shipping-related issue is limited to the replacement or refund of the product purchase price only.
We are not liable for:
- installation costs,
- electrician/plumber call-out fees,
- travel costs,
- consequential or incidental damages,
- project penalties,
- loss of income or profit,
- delays caused by third-party couriers or suppliers.
15. Force Majeure
Zisabo Electrical & Water Solutions shall not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver goods due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters,
- severe weather,
- strikes,
- riots,
- transport disruptions,
- supplier issues,
- load-shedding,
- global supply chain interruptions
