Distance Control Unit, 2 Pump

The Avanti 2 Pump Distance Control Unit (DCU/2) is a remote float switch relay that controls two pumps operating at different levels, using the same low-voltage float signal principle as the standard single-pump DCU. It is designed for duty/standby pump systems and dual-level control in sumps, dams and tanks, and suits contractors, installers and farmers who need reliable multi-float pump sequencing over long distances.

Installation & Compatibility Notes

• Confirm your supply voltage (220V AC or 400V AC) before ordering — this determines whether you need the A-DCU/2-M or A-DCU/2-Q variant.
• This unit requires 3 float switches wired as 1 stop float plus 2 separate start floats (4-wire control) — plan your float layout accordingly.
• Never interconnect the 24V float outputs of a DCU/2 and a separate DCU on the same system — this must be avoided at all times per the manufacturer.
• If using 1 pump plus an alarm, a separate dedicated float must be used for the alarm float input.
• Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.
