The Industrial Interlocked Switched Socket (SSO) range provides safe, controlled power outlets for industrial, commercial, and outdoor installations requiring mechanical interlocking. The interlock mechanism prevents the plug from being inserted or removed while the switch is in the ON position, eliminating the risk of connecting or disconnecting a live plug. Rated at IP44 for protection against solid particles and water splashing, these surface-mount sockets are suitable for workshops, factories, plant rooms, and covered outdoor areas. Available in 16A and 32A ratings, and in 3-pin (230V single phase), 4-pin (415V 3-phase), and 5-pin (415V 3-phase + neutral) configurations.

Please note: Mounting hardware, conduit, wiring accessories, and plugs are not included. Plugs must be compatible IEC 60309 industrial plugs of the correct current rating and pin configuration.

Installation & Compatibility Notes

• Confirm your supply voltage (230V or 415V) and phase configuration before selecting a variant.
• Select 3-pin for single-phase 230V; 4-pin for 3-phase 415V without neutral; 5-pin for 3-phase 415V with neutral.
• The interlock prevents plug insertion/removal with the switch in the ON position – always switch OFF before plugging or unplugging.
• IP44 is suitable for covered outdoor or splash-prone areas. For fully exposed outdoor or submerged-risk environments, use IP67-rated products.
• Use only compatible IEC 60309 plugs of matching current rating and pin configuration.
• Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with SANS 10142.
