Ring Type Current Transformer 14mm ID – 30/5A, 40/5A | MCE CP45/14

The MCE CP45/14 is a ring type (window) current transformer with a 14mm inner diameter and a 5A secondary output. It is used to step a measured load current down to 5A for ammeters, kWh meters and monitoring equipment, and is suitable for electricians, panel builders and maintenance teams. It is available in 30/5A and 40/5A ratios.

Installation & Compatibility Notes

• Select the ratio based on the maximum load current of the circuit.
• Confirm the primary conductor fits through the 14mm window before ordering.
• Do not leave the secondary open-circuit while the primary is energised; short the secondary or connect the meter.
• Check that the connected meter is rated for a 5A CT secondary and that the burden suits the CT.
• Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified person.
