The MCE WCC-M20T-3PQC is an IP68 waterproof T-type quick cable connector used to branch a 3-core cable into a second run. It is suitable for electricians, installers and maintenance teams who need a sealed T-joint for outdoor lighting, garden and pool wiring, pumps and other wet or exposed locations, without soldering or taping.

Installation Guide

Electrical connection – 3 core (L, N, PE):

1. Remove rear cap: Unscrew the rear cap from the connector unit and slide it onto the cable.
2. Prepare the cables: Strip the outer sheath and insulation as required. Brown (L) = Live / Phase / Line, Blue (N) = Neutral, Green/Yellow (PE) = Earth / Protective Earth.
3. Connect the conductors: Push the release tab to open the terminal, insert each conductor fully into its terminal, then release to lock it in place. Ensure good cable clamping and correct conductor termination.
4. Secure the cable: Ensure the external cable clamping device secures the cable and provides strain relief. Refit and tighten the rear cap to maintain protection.
5. Tighten the rear cap: Screw the rear cap clockwise onto the connector unit until it is fully tightened. Tighten securely to maintain the seal and improve the IP rating (where required).
6. Final check: Ensure all conductors are secure, the cable clamping is tight and the connector is clean and undamaged before use or re-connection.

Please note: Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified person with the supply isolated.

Installation & Compatibility Notes

• This connector is for 3-core cable (for example Live, Neutral and Earth). Confirm your cable core count before ordering.
• Check that your cable outer diameter suits the 20mm gland and that conductor size is between 0.5mm² and 2.5mm².
• Confirm the circuit voltage and current are within 450V and 24A.
• Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified person, with the supply isolated, where electrical work is required.
• Make sure all glands and caps are fully tightened so the IP68 seal is effective.
